basic veggie garden planning?

Thread Starter
i'd like to make myself a note on the calendar each week, sort of "this week start seeds for X vegetable, this week Y vegetable can go in the ground, this week Z is likely ready for picking".

i know there are a lot of factors to take into account, but does such a basic calendar exist? i live in southeast PA, if that makes any difference.

TIA

There is a link to a garden calender around here somewhere. You just put in your last frost date and it tells you when to plant each thing. Just look on the package for when to pick. Should tell you how many days from germination. Just mark down on the calendar for yourself of what needs picking when. Every variety is going to be different.

Here is the thread:

Thanks for reminding me about this.

The above link is an AWESOME idea!

I am having a lot of trouble finding my last frost date, however. I have checked at least five different sources and have gotten five different answers! The most optimistic answer is we have no frost (San Diego, so this is possible). The most pessimistic answer is March 30. Plenty of other answers in between.....

Got any suggestions for me???? Thanks!

You can also check out your state extension office. They often have great resources that are specific to your location!

I just discovered this one--it's awesome!

ETA: never mind. It's linked above! I missed the second link in a pp.
