with my dd i gave her healthy times baby food then i think we went to earths best. i can't remember why i did healthy times first. my 2nd dd will be ready for solids soon so i was just looking online trying to remember. i had to have the healthy times food shipped and was able to buy earths best at whole foods. maybe i just didn't know about earths best at whole foods? do you prefer one over the other?

I think skipping purees entirely is your best bet. 
That said, if you do feel like doing them, I think all jarred foods that use organic veggies are basically the same. You'd be better off grinding your own (if you absolutely have to, which I wouldn't bother with) instead of paying them to add water and put it in jars.

I agree though I am not opposed to babyfood jars. They have their place. I like to have some stowed in my baby bag for when we are going out or have a couple in the cupboard for things that I don't buy often (prunes) but honestly babyfood in jars is just a very watered down version of real food. It tasted aweful and its so easy to prepare real food for your LO's!
