Talula laughed at me for the first time last night (11.5 weeks)!!!! I cannot tell you how incredibly thrilling it was. I was making a silly noise that made her smile, while changing her diaper. Then I added a little puff of breath to her face as I made the noise and she just broke out into a hysterical laugh. I would look away and then back at her and just seeing my face again would ignite this glorious, jolly laughing fit. We were both exhausted when it was over and I just couldn't quit smiling. They say that a parent is only as happy as their saddest child. I'm starting to understand that phrase, because when my baby is happy I am over the moon. And when she's sad, I physically ache to make her feel better. Laughing is THE best!

i've been tickling to the point of torture, probably but no laughs yet, at 11.5 weeks. DS was laughing himself silly at this age, but nothing that got him laughing has worked yet. she aaaalllmost laughs, but not really. i can't wait!!
