We recently ordered the trial size (30 tablets). It seems I have finally, finally found a chewable multi that DS can take. He's allergic to berries of all kinds, orange, apricot, and grape. Also cow's milk. He's a little sensitive to lemon. (We were doing the Carlson lemon-flavored chewables. It's gone totally out of stock in the past 3 months, so it's a no-go anyway.) The Kirkman Chewables is peach-mango flavor, and as far as I can tell, it agrees with him....so far. I plan to order a bigger bottle now.
I like that you can order a small trial size, as we have wasted so much $ on supplements for DS that he ended up being allergic to. He likes the flavor and chews them willingly.
The downside for us is that it has NO iron in it. It's also low on Cal and Mag and vitamin D. We do vitamin D from another source (Carlson D drops). I recently bought the Carlson vanilla flavored chewable calcium. And we can do epsom salt baths/foot soaks to get the magnesium.
Since we have absolutely NO other choice in a chewable multivitamin, these will do. I also use Pure Encapsulations PediaNutrients capsules when I can open them up and put them in his hot cereal. But he doesn't have that every day, so we alternate with the chewables.
I'm not sure what the deal is about the xylitol. I hadn't read that thread. (Maybe I should.)
I really need to contact manufacturers and tell them we need a multivitamin that is vanilla flavored, or mango flavored, or coconut flavored. Somebody should make a berry-grape-orange-milk-free chewable multi for kids. I mean, these are common allergens. (Hey, supplement companies....are you paying attention?!!??)
