White patches on tip of tongue (PCP says not yeast)

Not sure where to post this. When my body is gearing up for ovulation, I get white stuff on the tip of my tongue. It does not happen every month but did this month. Only on the tip. It doesn't scrape off and stays for about one day total. Its strange. It didn't happen for the 15 months I nursed. I have been done nursing for 3 months. Before I became pregnant it would happen as well but only the year before I became pregnant which was a birth control free year. I conceived via IVF first try due to unexplained infertility. My hormone levels that they do always come out fine but this HAS to be hormone related.

Any one have any thoughts?
Oh, I also went to my PCP 2x when I had the white on my tongue tip. She said it wasn't yeast or anything and did a test, the only thing she could assume is spicy foods (which its NOT, I eat them all the time).

does it hurt? what about lichen planus? that can be periodic.

No it doesnt hurt at all. I will google what you said, never heard of it. Its ONLY right before I ovulate, so weird.

I just found this old message. Now I am about 4 weeks pregnant again thru IVF and have had patches since I found out, same place tip of tongue. My numbers did not double yesterday so I think I am looking at a miscarriage or ectopic. They are making me come back in 3 days...The white patch is same place top of tongue. Has to be hormones, such a mystery? Any other thoughts?
