Lina calls dh "daddy".

She calls me "daddy"+nursing sign.

that's so lovely. one of mine calls my sister (who lives with us) "Mama-Titi" instead of Auntie.

That's adorable! it's sort of like 'daddy' is the word for 'parent' and he's daddy/parent and you're daddy + milk

I think that's actually the cause. I made sure to show her his picture everyday and tell her "that's daddy!".

Whereas, I don't exactly sit there "hi! I'm mommy!" over and over.

My DS will 9 times out of 10 call me and dada 'dada'...it's getting heartbreaking...lol. He only says mama when he's screaming crying sad...and that's almost NEVER. So I'm in the same boat mama.
