poems for the LOs?

Anyone feeling sentimental enough to write a little something for all of our forthcoming little ones? I'm 41 weeks today and suddenly in the mood for sweet, soothing words of expectation. Here's something I wrote this morning, and if any of you have writing to share, I'd love love love it:

Will you show up late at night,
In afternoon, or morning?
Will you creep up gradually
Or burst out with no warning?
You, a little mystery
Preparing to unfold.
A long-awaited winter flower
Blooming in the cold.

Best wishes to all of you, meanwhile, and thanks for keeping me (all of us) busy with your thoughtful conversation and birth stories.

That is so sweet.

As it gets closer and closer, you really begin to realize(sort of for me) that you are REALLY going to bring in another life into your family. CRAZZZZZZZZZZZZZYYYY. This is another totally different person from the last and it will be different. When will he/she come? How? How will afterwards be? Will it be as good, worse, or better than my last labor and pp?

I guess I will take a BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGG deep breath and wait and see.
