TF Ranch dressing?

Ugh- we slid off the TF bandwagon when I had to return to work. Now I'm convicted to make it all work together (TF + work) despite it seeming rather overwhelming!

My son (very picky- ASD kid with textural issues) now likes carrots and ranch dressing. I'm overjoyed about the carrot part, but the ranch dressing is as far from TF as you can get--- tastes great, but full of evil! I need a good recipe for a TF Ranch stand-in for his carrot dipping adventures. Please help me figure this out!

I made this recipe over the summer and it was really good! I used 1/2c mayo, 1/2c sour cream and 1/2c buttermilk instead of just the mayo/sour cream. Pretty TF compatible - esp if your mayo, etc is homemade. Oh and I used fresh chives since I had them but DD thought it was a little spicy so next time I'll try the dried.

Mmmmm I think I need to make it again! It was great as a veggie dip.

for the creamy base, homemade mayo, yogurt cream and buttermilk, with herbs. (there are tons of recipes online about what herbs).

commercial ranch is backwards engineered from a mayo/cultured dairy/herb dressing, so re-engineer it.

I make this same recipe, and it's pretty good. We don't thin it down until right before we use it. *Also - make sure your dried herbs are still fresh, not stale. I think it's pretty important with this I used older dill weed and dried chives the first time around and it was yuck-o-la. Fresh made the difference.
