Hypnobabies Questions

Thread Starter
I just finished week 3 of the hypnobabies at home program, and I've got a few questions.

1. I have a hard time not moving once my light switch is off. I always seem to feel an itch or have a need to move a hand or foot. ...you know how you always seem to have a random itch when you can't use your hands? Am I doing something wrong? I know you're supposed to put your switch into center if you need to move, but I got tired of doing that and now I find myself moving when my light switch is off. Anyone else? Should I really try harder to not do that?

2. I know when you turn your switch off, you're supposed to drop your finger. Are you suppose to do anything when you turn it on or put it into center? ...or do you just do that mentally?

3. I've been pretty bad on doing my tracks everyday. It ends up being more like 3 times a week instead of 7. Is this really bad? Will it be a lot more effective if I try harder to do it everyday?

4. Oh, I definitely didn't do the "finger drop practice 5 times per day" or the "eyes open hypnosis 5 times per day" either. I feel like if this were a class I'd be getting an F.

Perhaps you can give me some motivation to be more consistent. I've got just about 7 weeks before my EDD! ...or tell me about your experience, and how it ended up working for you.

Thanks!

Well, I haven't had my LO yet, but I can still answer a few of your questions.
It's totally normal for you to want to move during the session, but you should not override the light switch. You're training your mind to accept that when the light switch is off, your body is, well, off and every time you contradict that, you're not helping the process at all. Hopefully someone can explain why you shouldn't move with it off better than I can. What you can do is just leave your light switch in center. Or just go to sleep. Your mind is still absorbing it but you won't have any itchy or tingly feelings.

For moving the switch to center or to on, you just count up (to 2 for center, to 3 for on). But you don't actually do anything physically.

I think the program is much more likely to be effective if you practice it regularly. Try to listen to it while you're sleeping or listen to it on a conscious level (ignoring the relaxation cues) (while you're straightening up the house at the end of the day or getting ready in the morning, etc.) if you can't find time to do it some other time during the day.

I'm horrible at practicing it 5x a day as well. I'm hoping that one won't matter so much, but hopefully someone else can weigh in on that.
