mom of a 5 month old (today!) and 28 month old here. We just spent 2 weeks with relatives for the holidays and I got some quality bedtime "snuggle" time in with the older one...it was so sweet. You will cherish it that much more, at least I did. I gladly climbed into the toddler bed and snuggled him to sleep while someone else watched over the littlest one. I also remember having mommy/son "dates", like to IHOP, because I had a bacon craving, that seemed to help out with the transition. It was our special outing while baby brother stayed home.
And then there will be those funny stories -
we drove from VA to FL for the holidays and spent a night in a hotel. We were getting ready and I stationed my 2 year old at the sink on a stool to "brush his teeth" um, play in water - to keep him busy while I got everything together. I had taken off his shirt so as not to have a soaking wet toddler. I caught a glimpse of him in the mirror and he was patting water on his nipples and saying, look mommy, I'm going to feed baby Declan...
