I'm sorry.

Bipolar is difficult to deal with. It's possible but only if he's willing to take responsibility for his behavior instead of expecting you to always accomodate his swings.

A friend went through this with her bipolar husband. Two times they were ending it. On his down cycles he can become violent as well and her kids were getting old enough she was afraid for them to start seeing that. Third time he got on meds and was doing well for about six months. Then he decided he needed to feel his feelings and go off meds. Divorce is on for good this time. I think that a non-compliant spouse who doesn't stay on meds and in therapy is not someone I would stay with.
