So to a mother that has nursed this doesnt seem odd. But I have never been able to bf ds so he has no relationship with my breasts... so to speak. (for the record I wanted to bf but wasnt able to for a few reasons) DS just turned 21 months and Id say for the last year he has expressed a like for my breasts. He likes to lay on them which I understand. they are comfy and perhaps my heartbeat reminds him of when he was in my tummy. But then it progressed to wanting to see my boobs. If I had a jacket on he would open it or pull up my shirt or pull the neck down to my blouse. Then it escalated to wanting to touch them. And the touching thing isnt just me. Its all the women in our family.. my mom my sister and so forth. He likes to hit them feel them put his hands on him. Now in the last few weeks he literally puts both hands out, puts one hand on each breast and squeezes as hard as he can. I have no idea where he got this. Maybe he is doing it because he gets a reaction.. .I have no clue. But with the way he reacts to boobs youd think he was bf.... is there anyone that has had a non bf toddler do this? when do they grow out of it? its embarrassing and not to mention painful. Ive tried to tell him that we dont do that. that it hurts and that we dont touch boobs... any suggestions?

My DD wasn't directly breast fed (well, a bit at the beginning, but she just wouldn't do it, so I ended up pumping), and she, too, is very interested in "nicks" (her word for nipples) - both DH's and mine (it actually started w/ DH, because he was the one she would see shirtless more often). Often when we are rocking before bed, she'll ask to "see nicks." Because I EPed for her, the first, oh, 20 months of her life my nipples were EXTREMELY painful. So she was already used to me telling her she had to be gentle with them. As soon as she does something that isn't gentle, they go away, even if I have to get up or put her down. She is usually pretty good about it. And yeah, she likes to gently bat at them
DD is 25 months now, and she's slowly been asking to see them less and less. Actually, now that I think about it, it's probably been close to a month since she's asked to see them (and the last few times, she would spend less time looking/playing w/ them, to the point where I'd pull them out and she'd immediately say "no nicks"), so hopefully the end is in sight for you, as well.
