Well, I have my two first OB appointments... one next week (blood work and stuff) and then an U/S the following week. Will see my endocrinologist in early Feb... and then need to see when I have to start with the perinatologist. Hopefully not until late 2nd or early 3rd trimester.

I am so tired! Of course, I was tired before.... but oh what I wouldn't give for a nice long nap right now.

Hi all! I'm new here, not MDC, but this forum. I'd like to be added to the list please!

mommysaurus, 41/41, 37, June 26, 2010, gender unknown

Never thought I'd would still be having babies into my forties but here I am. This is baby #9 for me but #2 for DP. My other kids are from a previous marriage. DP and I have been together for 3 yrs, he never thought he would have children. I told him he just had to meet the right woman! Anyway, I have about 2 weeks until I start 2nd semester of nursing school. It's going to be a busy one and crazy, especially with me being pg. So far the pg had been good and I acutually don't feel pg, except for my growing belly, I'm doing pretty good in my old age...lol! Nice to meet you all!

Hello, ladies!

I forgot to update in December that we found out that we are having a girl!

We already have a name, but we aren't telling anyone.

I'm 25 weeks and still doing great. I've been struggling a bit with some insomnia and the heartburn won't quit, but that's really it. I'm hoping that this feel good thing lasts through the rest of this pregnancy. Happy new year, everyone, and congrats to our graduates!

Hey all! Congrats to the new babies! Welcome mommysaurus!

AFM, I've got my big ultrasound tomorrow (19 weeks), and I'm trying my best not to be nervous about it... And in other news, my back has started in on me this week. UGH. I can't sit for more than an hour without pain. Double ugh. But at least my acid reflux is better.
Other than that, things are peachy. But cold.

went and got EIGHT (!) vials of blood drawn today. The doctor wanted to test for eleventy million things. Every time I get a new doctor in my life, they see my fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, and want to test me to rule out lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and every other autoimmune thing, as well as do a full thyroid panel (my PCP just did one on me 5 months ago). Fine, whatever, it was only one stick that I needed for other stuff, so there's really no difference between getting 1 vial or 8, yk?

I also had to drop off my jugs o' pee. The doctor wanted me to do the 24-hour urine collection, because even though I'm only 14 weeks, I've been having blood pressure issues, and have spilled a bit of protein in my urine at two separate visits.

And tomorrow, we find out whether the lab had enough of the villi to do the full chromosomal and karyotype testing from the CVS, or just the FISH test. So, we'll either have results in 2 days, or over a week, I think.

My bp has been on the high end of normal, but yesterday my pulse was really really high (100-130) just because I went grocery shopping. So I'm back on rest until I talk to my doctor.

Corasmama, that sounds like a lot of stuff! I hope the rest is uneventful for you, although it sounds like it probably won't be.

Congrats to the new babies! If I had a Jan. 1 or Dec. 31 baby, I think I'd hear it for the rest of my life about trying to add a last minute tax deduction. DD1 was born Dec. 28, and I already get that from silly family members.

Congrats to all the new babies born and newly pg mamas!

Corasmommy, that IS a lot of blood! Hope all turns out okay for you!

AFM, I am 36w3d and still here. Getting more BH contractions, achy pelvis, HARD to put pants and socks on, and TIRED. Getting in and out of the car to drive and turning around to back up is tough too! Babe is healthy and no longer breech I go tomorrow for my next mw appt and have the group b strep test. I am down to weekly appts from now on.

Hi ladies! I'm 8 weeks today, still feeling semi nauseous but it's the terrible exhaustion which is killing me. So terrible, I've been going to bed by 8pm and would go before that if I didn't have 2 kiddos to feed and bath, etc.
I have my first appt next week with my midwife, I was hoping to not go to see her until Feb but she wants to see me before I have my NT scan done. I'm already dreading getting weighed because I know I've gained probably 5 pounds already... the only time I don't feel like puking is when I'm eating something.

Sorin: Yay for little girls! (I will update the first post)

CorasMama: Good thing they only have to put one needle in to get all that blood. It sounds like you are under good care and getting thorough treatment.

Me, I am 33 weeks pregnant and live in a snow belt area. I returned to CNY from visiting my family in Canada. Parked my car in my driveway and watched it get covered with a foot and a half of snow w/ a forecast of a few more inches everyday for the week. I shoveled the sidewalk and around the car for a couple of days. I was happy to have the car snowed in and walked my child to school and then off to work (45minutes) and back. Today I caved and contracted a plowing service. Hurts my canadian spirit and stubbornness!!! But it doesnt appear that I will be able to shovel out the car and we have music lessons to get to tonight! I also feel much better knowing I have plowing services, lest I go into labour during a snow storm . Cross that off my list of things to prepare for.

hi and welcome to our new members!

corasmama, good grief, all that blood! i'd be making jokes about my donation i think. i wonder if all the tests will turn anything new up? really hoping you get the most possible info SOON about the CVS - you seem so calm in the waiting!

sorin, ! i always love it when you pop in . i'm really counting on the fact that jan/feb/march always seem like nice, slow times of year, and i hope you are feeling you have plenty of time before april!

afm, SHOCKED to read the other day that at 25 weeks, baby is over 9 inches long, crown to rump! what??? i guess i got bored reading about how many centimeters it was a month or so ago, so stopped checking that info. heh, nice surprise! i guess i was confusing the fact that babies gain a lot of extra weight the last month with length....

26 weeks today
Hi mamas!

I'm at the tail end here. 40 weeks & counting - I was due Jan 5.

I've got a transverse little boy inside...so hopefully we'll be able to turn him in labor. I've had four external versions so far...he turns, but pops back up into transverse.

Hoping for a miracle....
