Pregnant, 35 and older - JANUARY - Page 3

Bad News

Well, I just got back from my appointment, and the doctor could find no heartbeat this time. We saw one at 6 weeks. I am now 8 weeks, 5 days...the baby measured at that same age, but there is no heartbeat. I am devistated. I can't quit crying and keep fluctuating between denial and extreme sorrow. *sigh*

Checking in. I am still pregnant, though my due date was changed to the 21st (was the 14th) of this month. I am so ready to meet baby!

Updated EDD - 8/4/10

Things are going swimmingly at 12 weeks, 2 days! We heard the baby's heartbeat on Monday which prompted the big announcement at work - I spent all day Tuesday saying "I'm pregnant!" and hugging people. Apparently one or two of them had a cold because now I do too!

I scheduled my anatomy U/S for 3/5/10 and we are so excited about finding out the baby's gender.

I'm so sorry KosherGranola. I've had a few early losses (one with no heartbeat) and they're awful.

You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Congratulations, Mama in the Forest!!!

And I'm sorry to hear of your loss, Koshergranola.

AFM, I'm 22 weeks now, and had a little scare last week. My father-in-law died on Monday, and I flew to the funeral, and was with the family a few days. The day after the funeral, I felt like I was having non-stop BH, and couldn't seem to catch my breath if I was on my feet for even a moment. My dh was freaked out and wanted to take me to be checked out, but I waited until the evening, when I thought I had an actual contraction! Eegads, that was freaky. Anyway, it's all fine - turns out I probably have a UTI, and am anemic, but thank goodness, not at all dilated or anything. After a few days of serious resting, I'm feeling much better. Whew! Still pretty tired, but the BH have calmed down a lot. Still around, but nothing too uncomfortable. The funniest thing of this whole experience was hearing from the doctor that at 22 weeks, it's impossible t already have BH...

me&3, my doctor told me it was perfectly possible to have BH at 14 weeks!

Koshergranola, I'm sorry. I hope that they were just having a bad day, and there really isn't a problem.

I'm just sort of hanging in there. Life is crazy busy, there always seems to be something to do. I hope everyone is feeling well!

Hello, all!

I'm 40 and about 28 weeks pregnant with our first (EDD 4.22.10). We're 98% sure it's a boy. The sonogram seems to indicate as much!

So far, so good. Keeping fingers crossed...
