What to do with old bottles of spring water?

I have some gallon+ sized bottles/jugs of spring water that must be 5 years old by now.

Stored in plastic, of course.

I have cats and plants. Should I at least give it to the plants? Or just throw it all out?

We started storing a few when we were trying to get some emergency preparedness stuff together, but never rotated the stock of water (bad, I know).

I have used old/expired water in bottles for cleaning outside stuff like patio furniture, windows, etc... just couldn't dump it!
Also, I keep one in the back of the car to clean/rinse out the little potty when dd needs to make an emergency tinkle pit stop.
