Kefir Grains and Sourdough Starter Needed

Hi! I'm new here and very interested in traditional/fermented foods.

I love Kefir and would like to make my own. I'd also like to go to all sourdough for our bread. I'm looking for sources of starter for both. I live in Iowa City, IA.

I have no idea if I can even ship sourdough, but I know I can send kefir. I just packaged some sourdough to send to a friend and we'll see if it works. She's in Texas, and I'm in Montana, so the distance would be similar. Hopefully, though, in the meantime someone else will show up with an idea.
