CM?! I haven't ever experienced anything like this! And, I've been charting for almost 2 years so far, so I've observed a good bit of CM.... but there is just well... so much. I can feel it almost gush at times.

anyone else experience this? I thought progesterone was supposed to dry you up? should I be concerned?

Also... while we're talking about things cervix related... anyone still checking theirs? I am concerned, since mine doesnt seem to be high all the time. sometimes it's low, even... and it doesnt seem that "closed" either...
seeing the MW on Friday, so I'll ask her, but wondering if anyone else had any experience with this?

I've definitely noticed more CM since becoming pg.

I do not check my cervix.

Lots of CM is totally normal. And for me personally, I've found in both pregnancies that the further along I get, the more there is. At the end of my last pg, I was wearing panty liners all the time. Otherwise my underwear were just too wet.

ugh me too. And it is SO unnerving to feel that gush when you're PAL!

And I don't check my cervix, either. In fact, I kinda avoid it since I don't want to aggravate things. But I have a history of preterm labor so I tend to be more vigilant towards that end. (though it's a wee bit early to be worried about ptl!)

Lots of CM can definitely be normal during pregnancy. But you should mention it to your midwife.

One of my girlfriends is currently 29 weeks pregnant. She also had lots of CM, mentioned it to her OB who said it was perfectly normal. Then went for her 20 weeks ultrasound and mentioned it to the sonographer. They also said it was normal but decided to do a vaginal ultrasound anyway. She had very little cervix left and was sent straight to the hospital to have a cerclage and is on strict bedrest.

So its probably perfectly normal, but occasionally it can mean there is a problem.

It definitely got pretty "swampy" down there last time. This time, I've mostly noticed some really, really thick stringy mucus so far, and not so much the wet swamp. Yet.

Thanks to all for your responses! I am really nervous for what the future holds, if it's already like this. at least i'm hydrated...!

FlyGirl, this is kind of what I was worried about, esp since I thought the mucus plug should have formed, or at least be forming, and wouldnt that well... plug it up? that in conjunction with the low cvx position, and it makes me nervous. definitely mentioning it to the MW on Friday.

thanks!!

My mucus increased during pregnancy too. Not to the point of gushing, but noticeably more. If you're concerned, you should definitely mention it to your provider.

I require a panty liner at all times now... I tried to check my cervix but couldn't find it, boobs and belly getting in the way I guess.
