How much do you spend on raw milk?

I'm just curious how much people are spending to get raw milk. And if you buy raw milk cheese, butter, yogurt, etc. how much is that? In Santa Monica I can get Organic Pastures raw milk, but the cheapest it's available here is at the Farmer's Market for $14 a gallon. It's $20 a gallon at Whole Foods! Needless to say, I buy it at the Farmer's Market. I sometimes buy Straus non-homogenized milk instead for $9 a gallon.

Raw Milk in Texas is anywhere from $8-10 dollars a gallon. I did buy some once that was $12, but that seems rare here.

Wow, I can count myself lucky. $6/gallon here (direct from the farm; it can't be distributed in my state) or $3.50 for half gallon.

We pay $5/gallon. Technically, we pay for a share of the cow. It is illegal to sell raw milk here. We only live about 5 minutes from the dairy farmer. He sold his big operation last year and kept five or six cows back for personal use. We drive to his barn every Tuesday.

wow! My sister razzes me for paying $4/gal (cert. organic) at a farm down the road from my parents (who are a 30 min dr) I just make a weekly visit to my parents and the farm.

My fees work out to about 16 bucks Cdn per gallon, including delivery. I get cheeses/butter as extras sometimes though. Well worth it to me

Hmm, I pay 3.50 euro/liter, which would make 14 euro/gallon I think, which would be close to 20 dollars/gallon I think? I never actually realized just how expensive it is. We don't drink much milk though so it's not really an issue, I just buy a liter here and there. In cooking I use organic unhomogenized since it's going to be heated anyway and it's a third of the price.

Oh, and when we buy raw milk it's labeled as "bath milk" since selling raw milk as food is illegal here. Like everyone buying that milk is bathing in it like some kind of medieval princess!

$4/gal for Jersey milk, and $4/lb for raw butter. I also get pastured eggs for $2.50/doz. It gets delivered to my house every week for a $1 delivery charge.

If you are in Santa Monica, you should check out Rawesome Co-op. It is mind blowingly fabulous for raw dairy, butter, cheese and much, much more - including fresh made coconut cream, coconut cream kefir (heaven), meats, veggies, fruits, raw desserts. The milk, cream and butter is so far superior to Organic Pastures. I have to confess I have no idea how much the milk costs because we have to fly out to LA to buy and therefore don't get milk, (unless we need it while we are there), we get it locally ($8.00 a gallon), but it isn't anywhere near as good. We tend to stock up on butter, heavy cream, coconut cream and coconut kefir for the most part when we visit. I wish we lived where you do because it would be the main place we would buy our food.

I am not sure of the address, and DH is out so I can't ask him, but I will and edit my post. They are not online and are very, very low key. But oh so cool!!!!

I have a herd share and pay $22 a month per gallon of milk, so it comes out to ~$5 or so a gallon. We also get raw butter from them, which comes out to a ridiculous $15+ a pound (this is my dads thing... *I* don't have the money for it!!). I can also get raw sharp cheddar cheese for $6.99 a pound... I need to get back into the habbit of driving over there once a month for cheese, its SOO good!!!

I pay $8 gallon through my co-op, or $6.50 a gallon if I'm visiting my IL's close to the "source." (that is in the store btw.)

Worth every penny to me... though sometimes I still can't believe that I pay $8/gallon! We used to pay under $3 at Costco, but now my dd won't drink anything other than our raw milk lol.
