$16 per gallon.  ouch!  but so worth it.

I pay $7.50 a gallon for a local farm, but it's about a 30 minute drive, one way. I buy fairly small blocks of raw organic cheddar for almost $8 each. A dozen organic eggs from cage free chickens is $4.00, and the 10 oz roll of raw organic butter is $3.75. They sell bigger butter rolls too, along with grass-fed beef and pork. I can also buy raw nuts, local honey, and produce there. For the most part though, I prefer to grow our produce or buy it at a farmer's market that's closer to our home.

$10 per gallon. I have a drop- off nearby every other week. Worth it for my boys.

I am in the islands of NW Washington and our Jersey supplier that unfortunately uses GMO grains is about $10 a gallon.  The organic non GMO is around $12 and comes from over the mountains.  A friend of mine whom we have been going through for awhile has Guernseys and we were paying $6.  Both cows are preggo now so no more for awhile, sigh...

I am in rural Oklahoma and buy raw milk locally from an Amish farmer.. He is not certified, but I can tell you that the taste is amazing and my cream line is always 3-4 inches deep. The animals are treated humanely and the sustainability factor keeps me coming back. I pay $2.50 a gallon and get a half of a cup of butter with every gallon, so essentially I'm paying $2.50 for a stick of butter and 3/4 of a gallon of milk, plus the buttermilk after churning butter which I'm using to make mozzarella cheese. The cows are beautifully sweet Jersey's, always munching on grass when I see them and the milk is never more than 12 hours old when I buy it!

I suspect I could get it cheaper if I could find a more local farmer, but none seem to exist.

We pay just under 7.00 a half gallon... but that's including a 2.00 bottle deposit. So, if you rinse and return each time it's about 5.00 a half. So 10-ish bucks a gallon. Our fam of 6, blasts through 2 gallons a week. We could do more too LOL! We do have to also drive a state away to get it. About a 40 minute drive but we can make more than half of our grocery purchases at that co-op too while we're there so the trip is well worth the gas money.

Adding an update... we now moved accross to the state where it is legal to purchase raw milk. However, we're now paying 5.80 a half gallon. There *is* a farm where we can grab it at a mere 4.25 a half  BUT it's a 30 minute drive thus defeating the purpose lol We've also bumped up our consumtion to 2 1/2 to 3 gallons a week. I look forward to having dairy goats at some point so we don't have to limit!!
