Because all I want to do is snuggle with Felix, I am linking you all to my birth story on my blog. Despite the precipitious birth, I am long winded and didn't want to copy/paste (plus it has pictures). But here are a few pics for those who don't want to read the long blog.http://little-linus.blogspot.com/201...ord-felix.html
BTW: my only suggestion for fast labor--play Scrabble with your husband for 3 nights in a row. That's all I got...but for someone with really terrible pregnancies, I do need to believe in the power of prayer and rules of pregnancy fairness.

Totally my hubby here--I didn't shave, but I am not THAT bad.

I am still in shock. Felix was born last night at 2:45am. 35 weeks and 5 days. I will write the full birth story on my blog soon and post pictures (will let you know).
Let's just say I went in to the hospital to get my cervix checked, and after piddly contractions, watching Texas holdum' on TV...the doctor checked me and I was 9 cm--must have been 8 when I came in. She broke my water to see if we could get things more consistent (I hadn't really labored), and immediately grabbed the side of the bed and said, "I NEED TO PUSH." 10 minutes later, and 3+ pushes later, and he was born.
Breastfeeding has been going great and I have done lots of skin-to-skin...and no NICU!
I did forget about how awesome it is to tear and wear granny panties stuffed with loads of post-partum diapers (read: sarcasm).

I'm so glad that he didn't need the NICU at all! Looking forward to pictures!
