Books (help me decide?)

I'm about to do an online mass book order. So far, the ones I'm going to order are the ones not available in our local store, or at our library. Three (out of 4 - one is not about parenting) are:

- Momma Zen
- Attached at the heart
- Raising our children, Raising ourselves

I've never read (and am debating ordering):
The continuum concept
The natural child

I already own "The science of parenting", and would buy this book for ANYONE who is not yet a parent, is a new parent, or is a long time parent. Possibly one of my favorite books ever.

I've read and liked (and am debating also ordering):
- Unconditional Parenting (read it twice - library carries it)
- Punished by Rewards (I never finished it though - not sure if I want to borrow it again from the library, or just buy it)
- * Anything else by Alfie Kohn
- Playful Parenting

I've read and NOT liked (or couldn't get into):
- How to talk to kids so kids will listen
- Hold on to your kids
- The attachment connection (it looked like a GREAT book, but I couldn't find the patience - I may read it again at another time)
- Happiest toddler on the block (I liked it, but is VERY non-AP/UP)
- Kids are worth it (I enjoyed the first half, but I found the author to be BEYOND preachy. I gave up about 3/4 through.)

I know I'm missing a bunch, but my girl is a cranky mess today (teething + a cold) and is fighting a nap, so I'm writing this while waiting to try putting her down again in a few minutes.

Can anyone suggest either a book that's not listed, or tell me why I should read one of the listed ones again?

Also (off topic), has anyone read "Hypnobirthing"? I wanted to read this one when I was pregnant with my first child, but never managed to find the time. My second baby is due in May, so I'm wondering if I should add it to my order.

Thanks all!

I really like "How to Talk So Your Children Will Listen..." but it does work best with kids who are 3-4 or older, and if you already do these things, you may not need it.

I did not care for Raising Our Children, Raising Ourselves because I found the tone to be condescending/holier-than-thou. That could well be me.

This is exactly why I disliked "Kids are worth it"...

Does anyone else have any opinions on this book before I order it?

I CAN return the ordered books to my local store though, so I might order this one anyway...

Has anyone read "Scientist in the Crib"?
I've read Scientist in the Crib and like it, and actually own it. But then, I teach child language development and have worked in developmental psychology. It's a decent book. Not my favorite, but good.

So I made my order and I have enough "maybe" books to make a second order at a later date if I want to.

I'm getting:

The continuum concept
Momma Zen
Einstein never used flashcards (So totally interested!!)
What's going on in there (it was a toss up between that and Scientist in the Crib)

THANKS!!
