Just wondering at what age it is OK to stop worrying about waiting 3-4 days after introducing each new solid food. We don't have allergies in our families. I realize that families with allergies may have to be more careful.
Or maybe we're supposed to do it for a long time!?! IDK

Also, was there a reason why you chose to stop?

Since we waited until 6 months and all the signs of readiness and have no allergies in our family, we didn't bother waiting 4 days between new foods.

We never waited or introduced just one thing at a time. DS1 was 7.5 months when we started solids & no allergies in the family. His first 'food' was leftover bits from my tacos, so a mix of onions, cheese, salsa, & taco meat (either turkey or beef, don't honestly remember which) w/ lots of seasoning From then on he just ate bits of whatever we did...

I never did that either.

We waited with DD1, and she's the world's pickiest eater.

We forgot all the rules with DD2, and she eats everything and anything.

I read in a magazine (Don't think I'm allowed to say which one?) that it actually is better for baby's developing taste buds to get new foods in quick succession - that if you give them new tastes rapidly, they are more likely to enjoy all of those tastes.

We had a really crazy time, traveling, and eating out a lot, and I decided the poor kid couldn't survive on sweet potatoes and apples alone (all he was eating at that point!) when there were so many other new things we were eating. Since no one in the family has allergies, I decided to only watch carefully when giving him highly allergenic foods.

I started DD on solids at 6 months and we only followed 4 day rule for about 2-3 weeks I can't remember. but then I realized she would get tired of a food by the third day or so.

By 7 months she was eating everything off the table, and enjoying every bite!! She is 9 months now and still loves food!

I guess I kind of thought this is what I would see! I'm glad to see that so many babies do just fine without worrying too much about what they're eating. As a first-timer, I think I worry too much; hopefully now I can worry less!!
Thanks

we had no allergies in the family, but i waited until the forth day. It worked to our advantage as when my little one reacted to egg we clearly knew what it was.

Glad I'm not the only one who didn't wait 4 days lol...

I never did either. I don't think it's a particularly reasonable way to feed a kid.
