Please share your favorite preschooler activities

I will be leading a group of 3-4 yr olds once a week for 8 weeks, and I want to go with a nature/Waldorf theme. I would love some ideas of some favorite songs, circle activities, fingerplays, crafts, etc., that I might try with a group of 5-10 preschoolers. I have some ideas, but for some reason when I put all my ideas down on paper, they just don't look like enough to fill up my time.

I would love to do lots of outside stuff, but it'll be January and February and we'll be on rented property in the city, so not much opportunity to go out and explore nature with this group. Bummer. We'll pretty much be limited to indoor activities.

Thanks so much!

We love Letter of the Week, and there is plenty of content in it to fill your time! You could condense it to a letter per day or whatever you needed to though.

Right now, we're doing lots of fingerknitting. We also made felt mittens and are using little wooden animals to act out the fairy tale "The Mitten".

That sounds cool, I was thinking of doing the story the Mitten and trying to figure out how to use some puppets to act it out.

Can a 3 yr old learn to fingerknit? (I don't think mine could do it, my older ds learned when he was 5, I think)

Fingerknitting might be a bit much for a three. We're making masks this week to act out The Mitten.
