i have been dizzy all day! i get more dizzy as the time goes by. at times i feel like i am going to pass out, but dont! when that happens i feel like i am going to throw up. is this something i should go to the ER for?

heres the thing, DH thinks its not big deal. he thinks its something with my ears (he is NO DR, but he thinks he is )

what could it be? i dont want to go in and then have to wait and wait for them to tell me its nothing... ugh!

It could be your ears (could also be something else) but they can help you. I went in for dizziness. For ears they can do some procedure I believe and for me they did meds. If you want to look at possibilities use vertigo in searching.

If you're experiencing what I experienced (and my MIL and father though theirs was ear related and mine wasn't) I don't see how you're going to work?

But as far as going in tonight/emergency unless you're showing signs of something seriously amiss otherwise (as in this is part of a stroke, heart event, etc.) and you feel ok I would likely wait until tomorrow myself/that is what I did with my severe vertigo experience.

thanks! its more like dizzy spells... they are the same laying down, sitting up, walking and standing.

its just odd.. i have never felt like this before sober and its been a LONG time since i was drunk, but i remember it well thats what i feel like...

i am going to wait it out, i think.

It's horrible. You're not vomitting? That can happen with this just so you know.

Weird question I know but... Open your mouth wide... does your dizziness get worse?

I would call your doctor's after hours number. They will either direct you to a consulting nurse, or whoever is on call at your doctor's practice.

Yeah, usually if it's an ear infection or sinus infection, the dizziness will intensify if you open your mouth wide because you are putting added pressure... I would go in and find out what is going on. Plz keep us updated, hugs!

Glad you're feeling better and I totally relate to your discomfort. I just got diagnosed w/a severe sinus infection on Monday. I've been having horrible headaches w/spaceyness and dizzyness for a month. But no pain down under my eyes in the sinuses or in my ears until this past weekend. Nor do I have any nasal discharge. I went before the holidays and though my doc thought it might be sinus related, she couldn't be sure b/c I didn't have the usual signs. Now I do. Apparently my sinuses are impacted w/crud. I had no idea the headache and spaceyness could be from sinuses.
