Valentine Card Exchange **REMINDER** - Page 3

Yeah, we're not on the list in post #20 either, I PM'd right away, and in a second PM (when requested) sent in our address. Has everyone gotten their PMs of the address list yet?
I haven't received any PMs or e-mails yet. Soon I hope!

I haven't either.

Nope I don't think she's sent them out yet since she said she'd also update the thread with the guidelines.

We missed this, too. The kids enjoyed receiving mail last year. I've been checking out the swap forum watching for this and didn't think to check over here.

I am so behind that I am kind of grateful this is out and I have missed it already! LOL

My children are on the list that is posted here but I am seeing that some Mamas did not get on it or we are not sure yet. Maybe when the final list comes out those not one it could start a second V'day list as it is looking that one would be big as well. I know having more than one child in it I am thinking it is going to a lot of work with 50 kids and many more would be a bit much?

Thoughts?

I was waiting to see the final list to see if it could be broken down into smaller groups. I have two on the list too! They will both be thrilled to make and receive Valentine's, but 50 total? Oh my!!
As I was understanding it was that each child would send to every other child so for our house 150 would have to go out total!
I think the OP was going to break it down into groups of 25 kids so there won't be so many to make.

Do most people make them? Ds doesn't like arts & crafts type stuff and yesterday he saw all the shelves of those little valentine's day cards the kids at school use. I let him get some Star Wars ones and he's super excited and says he keeps hoping someone sends him some Star Wars cards.

We participated last year and most of them were home made but not all.

Ok good, I won't feel too bad then. I'll have to prepare ds though because he really wants all those little cards!

Just a note last year you could either send one from each child or choose to send them in one envelope.

I was also checking the swap forum .....

Sorry for the wait. I think I can get things done, and then it always takes longer than I think it will...

The above is the updated name list. Please check to make sure that your kiddos are on there.

I have PM'd the three mamas who had been checking the swap board. I can't stand the thought of homeschoolers without Valentines. So, assuming that I received addresses by tomorrow, they will be joining us.

I am planning to split the list, probably into thirds. This way each participant will be mailing to about 20 people.

In previous years some of the cards were handmade, some store bought. Some included stickers or another small surprise, some did not. All of the Valentines were loved!

Since we are splitting the list to make for a more reasonable number per person, I suggest mailing a separate card, in its own envelope, to each person on your list. That way every child gets mail to open. However if you object to this philosophically or financially, then send multiple cards in one envelope. You don't need to PM me about it, just make the decision that works for you.

PLEASE send out all of your Valentines. It is a bummer to work hard on Valentines and not receive as many in return. If you get stuck in a big bind, please let me know so that I can cover the kids you cannot do.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE... Send out cards to all the kids on your list.

Please mail your cards with time for them to reach their destination by Valentine's Day. However late is better than never.

Also, please do not complain if you mailed out 20 and only got 19. Things happen, we are all doing our best. In an ideal world you would get everything you deserve - but here it is a bit more of a leap of faith.

My kiddos are SO excited - hopefully yours are too!

Any questions? I will PM the address tomorrow!

thats what we used last year on this swap. My DD loves the cards in the stores. She also put stickers with them.
