Valentine Card Exchange **REMINDER** - Page 5

We'll probably do a mix as well. CherryPie will probably make hers and KiwiBoy will probably pick some out at the store. Not 100% sure yet, though.

I hope the kids aren't disappointed with our homemade cards... I gave my kids the choice and they were really excited about making homemade ones. They've been having so much fun with it

I think we're going to send ours out a bit early since we're leaving on the 1st for a trip and won't be back until the 10th late at night. I could leave them all ready to go with dh since he's staying here but I have a bad feeling he would forget.

Eva and Ana's mom,

I don't have last names for your daughters.Do you want to pm me with them or do you think they'll get to them without last names?

Thanks!

We ended up going with store bought valentines. We are involved in a local exchange or two, and the kids decided they didn't have any desire to make ALL of the ones they would need (which works for me, as it is less work). So....we have a couple of different ones with tattoos and another with airplanes that you fold (which ds1 thought was much cooler than just a regular valentine). We'll have to swing by the post office next Monday and double check weight.

My 10 year old is up late making them and thrilled about it!

We mailed ours out today!

Because they weren't flat envelopes, I had to pay $1.55-1.75 for each "package", I was expecting something more like under 75 cents, but oh well.

I used first names (or nicknames) only on some of the cards that went out. Ours are homemade too and not the most asthetically pleasing, but they were fun!

We did ours without the last names. We did a few like that last year too.

Ours go out this week- they are done, just need stamps.
we made little boxes to collect our valentines in

We got our first ones today!
We're decorating shoe boxes to put them in.

Ours hit the blue box tonight!

One envelope per child is what it came out to. So all three of my littles put the ones for Eva in one and we mailed it and so forth. It came out to .66 cents per child to mail to simply because it could not be folded. -shrug- The kids had a blast.

I say I am sorry now because cheap crayons where used with Libbys heart crayons she made to send out and so only one side will color! But hey she had a blast breaking them up and pealing them and putting the pieces in the molds and she is just 2. LOL

Ruarai mailed hers out on Monday without last names on any of them. She wrote the childs first name and I wrote the address. We ended up with 22 envelopes going out so that was about all I could get out of a just turned six year old who had just done to and from labeling on all 22 cards. We haven't gotten any in the mail yet but are eagerly awaiting them

ETA: We included stickers and a sucker with the cards. Sorry in advance for any trouble this may cause. The stickers were added incase the child was unable to eat the sucker so that they would not feel too dissapointed.
