Really shallow - any way to get her hair to grow faster?

Peepers' hair is really starting to grow, and I'm getting so excited that she'll have some hair to put clippies and girly things in by her 1st birthday. Are there any supplements I could take (she's breastfed) that might help speed the process?

TIA!

No, as far as I know its just a waiting game. Most suppliments for hair I know about are silica-based to make hair stronger...not faster growing.

lol.. what a cute question. My grandmother swears by "jello water" I guess geletin is supposed to help IDK.. that's all I have ever heard, but I've never tried it. I don't like Jello

I've heard that cutting hair makes it grow faster, but that's probably not what you're looking for

Some cultures believe shaving babies heads makes their hair grow in better.

LOL

I know how you feel. My daughter is nearly 10 months old and is a baldy baldy baby.

This is the funniest thing I've seen all day. Thanks so much for sharing.

And people think *we're* crazy because we wear our babies in slings and breastfeed on demand. Really?

That's hilarious! But am I the only one whose first thought was, "That's hideous!"?

LOL. That's funny, if somewhat disturbing.

I had a friend suggest putting "hair food" on DD's hair to help it grow in thicker. Don't know much about it though...need to research it more.

Nope, not the first. And since I've shared the link widely already with many mama friends, I can safely say you are not the last, either.

Where did you find that, bender?

And sorry for veering off topic, but that's just too creeptastic!

Haha. You're going to covet it like we do DS's hair. He just turned 3 and has RINGLETS. I know lots of people want us to cut it, but he was completely completely bald until 18 months. Still pretty bald at 2 1/2. So no way. We love it! Baby girl is 8 months and has some hair on her head so she's beating his pace already. But not much hair at all. But at least visible, because it's red and everyone comments! You'll just have to wait. You'll love it when it does come in!

DD2 just turned one and is a baldy. Much less hair than her sister had at 1.

My DH's cousin insists I need to shave her head so that it'll grow and grow thicker, despite multiple studies that prove nothing you can do to hair on the outside changes how it grows from the inside.

DD1 has beautiful curls that gets comments all the time. DD2 is bald, and gets called a boy all the time, no matter what she's wearing. Like a pink shirt that says "Birthday GIRL" on it.

DS had much less hair than DD does. She was pretty bald a few months ago. Doodlebug looked at her in the car one day recently and said "You grew more hair! Good job growing hair, Peepers!"
