Is baby delay caused for concerned

I just wanted some advice on DH neice. I know every baby is different and that is why I never asked anything especially since I am not there to see the baby 24/7 but it was the grandmother that started talking to me about some of the things, the family lives with her so she is there with her 24/7. She is 8 months now.

Some of the minor stuff I think which doesn't really sound too much of an alarm is that it takes alot to get a smile out of her even from her parents(this was around 6 months) now at 8 months I think it is better. Now it is mostly alot of work to get a little chuckle and the mom has to do it.

Her overall behavior seems like a younger infant also.

She doesn't roll at all. The grandma said she is trying to roll from belly to back.

She can't do that holding her chest up with her hands on the ground thing for more than 2 seconds then she callapse on her right hand and stays there until somebody moves her. She also only gets on her hands when the parents put her down in that position.

She just started to sit unassisted(which is still in the normal range). When she was learning though and she tumble forward on her face with her butt in the air she wouldn't try and wiggle to get on her stomach she would just lay there with her face in the ground and her butt up in the air looking content until somebody comes for her.

Not sure about the cooing. I haven't heard it just mostly crying or whining noise.

Oh...when she was a newborn even up until she was 1 - 1 1/2 months her body did sometype of shaking thing but it was mild.

The Grandma is starting to say the child is like that because of how the mother was during the pregnancy. Seems like she was very stressed and crying a lot. Some of their properties got forclosed on and then the house they moved into was also forclosed that is why they are living with the grandmother now. Also they was done having children w/ #2 and now this is #4.

Not sure what to think on anything. I don't have much experience with babies except my own. I told the Grandma not to say anything I guess if the baby is a little delayed she still have time to catch up maybe she is just taking her time.

Anyways would you be concerned
