Where to find LITTLE undwear (around 25 lbs)

My son is about 18 mo and almost fully potty trained. The problem I have is finding underwear that are not too big. I found some online from the "diaperless baby" site, but they are like 6-8$ a piece! Way too much. If he is in a diaper, and we are out, he will not tell me when he has to go. Pullups are ok, but I can only use them for a day or so before then get all clumpy and wrinkly.

Suggestions PLEASE!

I found some at old navy. They were about 3 pairs for 7$. My dd is 21 months and 27 pounds and they fit fine. I think they were size 2 or something. I know the children's place also sells some small ones.

I bought the smallest size Gerber training pants off Amazon. I also found XS Hanna Andersson training pnts at their natick store.

Childrens place and Carters have really nice underwear. We used Gerber underwear (available at kmart) when he was 18 months. The smallest underwear (besides gerber which comes in 18 months) we found was the character underwear at walmart and kmart. I cant remember the brand but they are disney and in 2T. We liked the CP, Gerber, and Carters because they were not branded underwear just trucks or colors Etc.

My DD is tiny and has been diaper free since she was around 19 months(nearly a year!! yay!!!) so we really struggled with panties.

The Gerber 18 months were too big for her, as one the smallest sizes from Carter's, TCP and Gymboree.

What we finally found were some licensed unders from Target & Kmart that are not Hanes brand. They're something like Health Care or something Care(sorry I can't remember the name exactly.) For some reason, they are smaller than the Hanes counterparts in the same size. Even now the Hanes 2T/3T panties are too big for my DD.

It also helps if you wash them in hot, hot water once or twice and then dry them with heat.

Good luck!

OK. I'm almost 100% sure the brand is Handcraft.

I'm in Canada and had the same problem. The smallest ones that I could find, and were still too big (she's just fitting into them now, ~6 months later), were Fruit of the Loom size 2. Not the 2/3T ones, but 2, which are hard to find. I did find them at Sears in the toddler section. An unexpected (and ridiculous) negative to early potty training!

I've found some size 2 undies at the Loblaw's chain of grocery stores here in Canada, that's whatever store carries the "President's Choice" brand in your area (different store names in different areas).

I've also gone ahead and bought those expensive undies for diaper-free babies. We did diaper-free and she was in underwear occasionally from around 10mo, I think, and exclusively in undies during the day from... I don't remember for sure, a little over a year old?

I bought a whoooole bunch from continuum-family.com. They were like $8 each. I did join her referral program so I was able to get quite a few for free, once I'd built up some credit. Also I was fortunate to be in on the game when she was just creating her tiny undies, and DD was one of the testers... so we got a couple tester pairs for free or for dirt cheap.

I don't regret the expense. Now that she's 3 and we've bought several store-bought undies, I can really see the difference. I'd get more of these expensive ones if she made them in bigger sizes!

Store-bought panties ride up like crazy, she gets constant wedgies. The handmade ones fit perfectly. Storebought are made with flimsy, thin fabric, the handmade ones are thick luxurious jersey (and are available in several different fabrics, including organic cotton, bamboo, wool...). The handmade ones also just plain fit better... the storebought ones are often too tight around the legs, or too loose, or snug around the waist while bagging around the butt...

It might be different for boys' briefs, in terms of fit, I don't know.

In our case it wasn't a crazy investment either, once you figure for how long they last. We started wearing them before she was a year old, and now that she's 3, she's just finally now outgrowing them. They fit her well for a good 2 years! And they're still in GREAT shape... some of the storebought ones we bought less than a year ago are already stretching out the elastics or wearing through. Our handmade ones are still like-new enough that we could easily pass them on to another child, if we have more.

The Loblaws brand -- the Joe line -- don't come in 2 anymore. I have a few pairs of those, which are the tiniest ones I've seen, and when I tried to get more they told me they don't make them. They do, however, still have the size listed on their labeling...grrrr.

I ended up getting the size 2 Gerbers because it is what I could purchase in store. Micah was 25 lb. at the time, and they fit like boxer briefs (still do at 28 lb.). They sell 18 month size online.

I've found the Hanes 2T/3T boxer briefs to run very small. My DS was able to wear them from 20 pounds or so, and my DD fit into the same ones from around 23 pounds.

re

If you go online to Amazon, you can get gerber training underpants in sizes 18months and up. You can get a 3 pack for 6.99. They do tend to shrink up a bit in the wash so you might want to get the next size up. My son is about 23lbs and wears size 2t now. We really like them.

Yeah. We tried this. Did not fit my tiny DD. Even now the 18 month Gerbers are too big and DD is around 24lbs.

Know anyone in the UK? I expected to have problems finding undies for my first as he was teeny tiny, though not a particularly early potty learner, small enough that we had issues with him falling in the potty, so I assumed we'd have problems finding him pants, but it seemed like every store had some, usually store brand.

We'd moved to the US by the time DD potty learned, but she's chunkier, but I found I was looking in the wrong place and smaller pants were still hard to find, you have to look with the baby stuff, not where all the other pants are, and I kept finding empty rails! Obviously every child in the area was potty learning at that time.

gerber is owned by nestle and a no-go for us. my dd pld at 20 mo and 20ish lbs and we use wahm-made undies from hyenacart. If we were going to use store-bought we'd probably go with hanna anderson. they have teeny tiny underwear.

I found some on etsy.

A child of 25 lbs will fit into size 2T underpants, which I found at Target. 100% cotton.

Etsy is a good idea! You can also go on Alchemy on there and request them from someone giving your DC's measurements. Just be careful who you work with on there, as Alchemy has been known for rip offs.

I had DD's custom made from a woman on Hyeancart. Over a year later and they are still in perfect condition, so well worth the $5 each.
