Fun things to do with kids in Vancouver?

Hi Vancouver mamas,
We are travelling to the area in February to attend some Olympic events. We have a number of friends in the area who we will be visiting & staying with, and have tickets to 3 events, but we will be there for 10+ days and I wanted to ask for suggestion for kid friendly outings. Our girls will be almost 5 and almost 2. We will be travelling by public transit.
So far, we've heard about/thought of:
-The Aquarium
-The Granville Island Kids' Market.

Anything else we shouldn't miss?

Thanks mamas

Science World! we go almost every time we're down in the lower mainland. The kids always have a blast.

ETA: I was just looking at the link I gave and it looks like they will be closed during that time. Too bad.

I just heard about a kid friendly cafe that opened up in Yaletown (right downtown). It only opened up very recently so I haven't been yet. Sounds promising if you need a bite to eat and a warm place for the kids to play...

Another idea is Chinatown for some sights and good eats.

If you can stand eating ice cream in cold weather don't miss La Casa Gelato, near Chinatown. 200+ flavours! http://www.lacasagelato.com/
