Keeping infant warm while sleeping?

We swaddled DS until a few days ago, and that always kept him toasty, but now he wants his limbs free and we're finding that he gets chilly (kicks off blanket.)

We even put him in a cotton sleeper with a lightweight polar fleece blanket sleeper over it and his hands and ears were cool. Maybe we need heavier-weight fleece pjs over cotton pjs? Would like to avoid polyester against his skin!

We do co-sleep (sidecarred crib) but I keep a bit of distance from DS since I use the down comforter that's on the main bed (shared with DD and DH.)

I like the looks of the wool sleep sacks (like Disana), but they don't cover the arms and seem like they might be a pain to get off & on (no snaps or zipper.)

Just wondering what you all use! Maybe we just need to up the thermostat--we currently have it set to 62...

I can't sleep if the room is too warm, though!

My little guy sleeps in a wool sleep sack and a wool t shirt most of the time. I don't worry about cold hands and ears so long as they're not frigid. I make sure his core is warm and he's not risking frost-bite, but other than that...

Our room is very warm, but our main floor is chilly, so I put my DD in a Kushies sleep sack until bedtime. It's like overalls, but has a zipper that goes all the way around for easy diaper access.
