My 9.5 month old, who has been eating solids consistently since 7 months or so, suddenly will not eat any solids. He still nurses, but not anymore than he normally would when also eating solids. So it feels like he's not getting "enough" food, although I know he won't starve himself. I know babies don't nutritionally need solids until after a year, and a lot of babies do fine with no solids until older than he is. But he was eating a TON of solids! We do BLW, so he mainly feeds himself (although I do spoon feed soups and the occasional puree if it's convenient), and he was eating 3-4 meals a day (decent sized meals, not just a few bites). But now he doesn't want anything.
His sleep has also been messed up the past few days. Usually he goes down at night and STTN for 12 straight hours with 1-2 nursings, and then takes two solid naps for 1-2 hours. The past 2 nights he's woken a few times during the night to the point I have to get out of bed and rock him to get him back to sleep. And his naps have been terrible as well.
Could he be sick? The only thing I can think is that he is teething (he doesn't have any teeth yet), but he's not drooling, not really acting any different (except cranky when he's tired), no changes in poop or any other teething signs. Is this normal teething behavior? Reassure me mommas!
