How long does a Nuchal Translucency ultrasound take?

Mine is scheduled to take place in 2 weeks but I can't recall from the one I had with my daughter how long the Nuchal ultrashound took (approx). I have an 8am appt and have to go to work immediately after and wanted to have an idea of whether I'd be late or not (office is 10 mins from my Dr).

Mine was really fast, the US was 15 minutes maybe? As long as the baby cooperates. I had to go back once because the baby was measuring too small (my dates were screwy) and they do have to be within a certain strict weeks or CRL.
And then I went down the hall to get the blood drawn which took 2 minutes.
No wait.

I just had mine, and it took about 20-30 minutes because the baby wouldn't turn the right way. There's no real way to force it! After the u/s the diagnosis came very quickly, within 5 minutes.

I was in there for about a hour, getting jabbed really hard. Baby was asleep. Very asleep. They'd wake it up, it would move, then it would go back to uncooperative position.

I had one with my last pregnancy.. and I want to say 10-15 minutes. But, I probably waited 20 minutes to see the U/S tech. I think if you have an 8 am appointment... you should be the first appt of the day, so not much wait. So, I'd say your chances are good that you won't be late.

Eat something with some carbs to wake baby up. (At least that's what they always told me before all of my fetal monitoring in my last trimester.)
