For those of us with loooong cycles - Page 8

jeminijad & maurine, I am definitely hoping this is your time!! WOO HOO for our long cycle ladies in the 2ww!!!! We need some BFPs around here!

i'm now on CD 68..ugh..feeling kind of pms-y though and feeling more like i'm post-O, although I have no idea when I might possibly have 0'ed based on my chart. It does not look like I did. ?? DH and I have been talking more about possibly trying Clomid in the fall. Probably will move into a different house before we do that. I'm pretty down about the whole ttc thing right now. I think probably because I'm rapidly approaching the dreaded 35 mark. (in august), and DS is really into babies and keeps asking if we can get one.

But anyway, LET'S GO Jeminijad and Maurine! And Lauren, hooray for the hope of a new cycle!

ItsUnfertility I had to take Provera years ago (probably 7 yrs ago or so) to get my period to start once, and it made an emotional disaster area. Hopefully this would not be the case for you. But I thought maybe I should warn you just in case. I know most people don't have that problem, that I know of.

Woo Hoo jeminijad and Maurine! Keeping my fingers crossed for you both in the TWW!

lilmom- That is exactly what I'm concerned about! I really feel like I will be one of the ones who experiences all of the yucky effects of the Provera. I should be more optimistic and hope that it's easy peasy for me like it was for you, Lauren2010. Hopefully AF will show up today or tomorrow morning so I won't have to find out!

I'm on CD73 or 74 now and I am sooooooooooooo ready for this cycle to be OVER! I just feel like it's such a waste of time. People with "normal" cycles have probably O'd 3 times in the amount of time I've been sitting here waiting out this one lousy cycle. Is it just me who feels like long cycles are suuuuch a waste of time that could be used for much more important baby making time?!

LOL okay, end of my rant here. Sorry ladies! Hey, do any of you blog?
lilmom- Oh goodness I'm sorry you had such trouble with Provera!

Jeminijad and Maurine-exciting!!! Fingers crossed!

ItsUnfertility- I totally understand feeling like times a-wasting with these long cycles. Since the beginning of the year, I had one good temperature rise, so at the most I think I ovulated twice. Most people would have ovulated 5 or 6 times by now! I was telling DH last night it feels like we're not even trying right now with all this waiting around business.

I don't blog-but I love to read them so post your links if you do

ItsUnfertility I hope you will just start and not have to worry with it!

I feel your pain so much right now! I'm on CD 69. I just got crosshairs tonight though, FF thinks I O'ed on CD 66. And I'm pretty sad because DH has been super busy with work and grad school and there has been no BDing around that O date, if I really did O. So that means, another incredibly long, wasted cycle!!!! It's incredibly frustrating.

Sometimes I post under the ttc #2 in our 30's thread, but usually I get so frustrated watching how many 2ww's there are for all the other ladies.

This sounds awful too, but sometimes I just get really upset listening to people with "normal" cycles complain about how long and miserable the 2ww is, or how boring it is waiting to O. Try waiting for 60 plus days, and then not even O'ing! I am thrilled every time I actually O and get to have a 2ww!

I don't blog..sometimes I think I should but I am actually a very private person. I don't like having everything out there..I don't even like having facebook! (I do, just not crazy about it)

Here's my blog if you're interested. It's fairly new but it has definitely been helpful to get all of my thoughts out of my head when I'm trying to sleep but can't stop thinking.

How is everyone doing here? CD13 and lots of BDing on my end. Hope everyone is well!

Cool..I will check out your blog, ItsUnfertility.

I finally started after 78 days! So I'm on CD4 right now. Maybe this time around...

Good luck everybody!

Exciting-another blog to read I'll definitely check that out!

Lilmom-hooray new cycle! Hope this is the one for you!

Anyone else have any updates?

As for me...CD 20. I was really hoping taking Provera last cycle would "kick start" me back into normal, shorter cycles. Back when I did have 30-32 day cycles before this long cycle business began, I ovulated around day 20. Had some good EWCM a few days ago, good CP, and my temps seem to be rising. No crosshairs on FF yet though. Only reason I'm not getting too excited is that I was using OPKs for the first time this cycle, starting on day 11. I don't think I got a positive...the closest I got was the edge of one of the lines on 2 tests got as dark as the control, but not the whole line. I was using AccuClear brand, if anyone has any experience with those!

It's possible you still ovulated. I was using IC OPKs last cycle, and never got even close to positive. However, since I was on clomid I had to get a blood progesterone test to check for ovulation, and according to that and also my temps, I definitely did ovulate.

Lauren that sounds pretty promising! Lots of great signs and I'm never too sure about the OPKs. I always get a faint second line and feel like I trust the other signs more. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

lilmom- Good luck this cycle- I personally felt relief when I started my new cycle (only because my doc confirmed my BFN). It feels like a fresh start and I can't help but be a little optomistic (although by the time CD50-something rolls around it's a totally different story). Hope this is the cycle for you, keep us posted!

Sick and Tired of NOT Oing

Hello Ladies,

My name is Briana and I have stopped and checked out your thread several times but never posted because I was sure after having my first baby that my cycles were just going to fix themselves. I don't have it as bad as most of you but in my age thread there just really isn't anyone left that has the same problems and aggrivation that I have. Before metformin my cycles were about 120 days give or take a few weeks. On metformin my cycles are like 50 to 60 days which is awesome, so I thought. Now that I am temping I am realizing I do not O at all. Just gear up over and over and then nothing. Reading your stories helps me to not feel so alone out here in baby making land. Hopefully I can offer some encouragement to some of you gals to.

Here is my chart if anyone wants to peek

New Thread

Hey I was thinking about starting a thread that keeps track of everyone kind of like the bitter sushi's thread. I currently host the TTC in your 20's thread and I could host this one to if you guys would be interested?? We could call it the "We only ovulate 2 times a year club" or something like that.

Just let me know just and idea. If you want to just reply with yes and maybe we could come up with a better name.
ZoeJane'sMommy, I think that sounds like a great idea.

Ok, so I'm thread crashing here, sorry. I've been thinking of joining for awhile, but while I feel like my cycles are long, I didn't want to offend those who have much longer ones. I just ovulated on CD25, which is my latest O I've charted. Each cycle, O has been getting a few days later. I used to have 29-31 day cycles. Not sure what my body is thinking at the moment.
ZoeJanesMommy I was thinking the same thing! That I would start a new thread in August and call it Long Cycle Mamas TTC or something like that. But please, go RIGHT ahead if you want to do it! I have lots going on and can't always remember to bump this thread up. I forgot this week but luckily we had some other folks get on here!

I am totally tired of not O'ing either. I posted a while back that I had figured out that I only have O'ed 3 or 4 times since last November/December.

Remind me, have you had testing done?

SweetBee I don't think you would offend anybody! I used to have 35 day cycles myself and I thought that was fantastic. But now I'm totally out of whack, for the past year and a half or so. But, when I was younger, I also was very off for years. Then I got very healthy about my eating habits, etc and that's when I got into a good 35 day pattern. So I highly recommend that to anybody, plus acupuncture really helped me.

New thread sounds great!

I wish I wouldn't have updated yesterday, seeing as my temp dropped this morning so it is quite doubtful I did ovulate. So frustrating! But I guess I'll just wait for a few more temps to see where I am. I ran out of OPKs so I'll just stick with CM, CP and temps.

I've been sharing my frustrations with some close friends and family...anyone have loved ones that think you are crazy for temping? I am tired of hearing "well if you would just relax about it and not stress you'd probably get pregnant." I just feel like I'm in this difficult place where I haven't been trying for a year, so I'm not taken seriously I guess. But I know my body is not "normal" since I have been temping. Arg!

Thanks for letting me vent
lilmom: I know I have PCOS I was tested for it about 10 years ago. I have only been trying since the end of April and with my first DD we just did like a birth control treatment for 3 months and the the next month I was off of it I got prego!! But it still us a year to get to there. Which really is pretty normal for women with PCOS. I have not been recently tested since I did not have an OB that I could go to. I went to my DO in may and she put me on metformin since it seemed to help the first time. As soon as I realized the metformin still wasnt producing O I found an OB but her earliest appointment was the 29th of this month. I will get test then. I am going to go ahead and start the thread now. I think I will call it TTC with Looooooooooong Cycles August. Please everyone pop in and say hi and you want to join and I will add you to the running list.
