I was having a similar conversation with DH last night about this, and for me its more than just WOHM, AP'ing we moved last year and that has eliminated my support network of moms, friends and etc. Its nice because we're close to my family, but wow I'm really glad for finding MDC lately as its filling a void/outlet.

I'm trying to reach out with some of the moms in DH's SAHD group. I have a small group who I enjoy so here's to hoping friendships develop!!

I hear you - although there are many mamas at my daughter's school that I adore Im the only one who works FT at a traditional 9-5 job, so I miss the playdates, etc. when all of the hanging out is done. I have gotten to be closer to my work friends because I see them more.

Its hard having aspects of your life that dont seem to connect. I try to see the richness in it, but its hard having so few people you are truly close to.
