i thought that one girl seems very stalkerish. it will definitely add to the drama. and i googled the big spoiler that has been unprecedented on the show. that will also keep it very dramatic.

I've only watched one season of the bachelor before, but decided to watch this one because of the dramatic advertising for this season. I'm not going to google that because I don't want to be spoiled. This season sure looks interesting, though. I can't believe he kept Michelle! I really think the producers made him do that for the drama.

I think it's so funny how they are so sure they are going to find a wife.

Did anyone see last nights show? I missed the last half. And anyone notice the similarity between all the girls? The BIG similarity?

Did anyone else notice that there seemed to be more boob shots and leg shots than ever? Like they just kept zooming in. I also noticed that they were all very similar and I think they were all white except for maybe one girl??? I wonder how much say Jake got in it? None of them look like or seem like jillian which is kind of weird since I would have guessed she was his type. They were very plasticy and big boobied LOL.

So much drama! I loved the one-on-one date...that is the girl i'm rooting for (except I read the reality steve predictions last week and he gave out spoilers including the final girl...who i really hope he DOESN'T pick but I won't say here).

Looks like more drama next week too!!!

Well whether it was staged or real or fake, I'm glad Rosyln is gone! Now to get Michelle booted...she's nutso!

Maybe I'm totally gullible but I thought that the conversation Chris had with Rosyln was real. His voice totally broke and he looked so uncomfortable having to confront her. I doubt he's that good of an actor. She also looked like she was trying not to lie but not tell the truth either. Her eyes watered and she was swallowing hard when he was accusing her. It looked real to me. Of course she's saying it was staged...now! But in the moment it looked like she knew she was caught. I dunno...I believed it. And when Chris was smirking when telling Jake, I dunno, but I always end up smiling when I give someone bad news. It's a nervous thing for me.

I also loved the one on one date. She'd be great for him! I just hope he picks someone "au naturale", IYKWIM.

I watched the first 2 episodes of Hulu. Kind of embarrassed to have used my time that way.

There is a huge contradiction between what he says he is looking for (family values, marriage and children) and how he is going about getting it (tv show noted for many bikini shots, a beauty/personality contest to get his attention.) He eliminated some of the more grounded, mature women in the first round - instead choosing fashion models he would not have that much of a chance with in real life. If his real priority is a long term marriage and family, he should look for dates at a church picnic or a volunteer opportunity. Since his family is mostly doctors, I think an educated woman will fit in better than a wannabee starlet. Commercial pilot is a glamorous sounding job, but really means long hours, overnights away from home and a salary less than $100,000. (not enough to support the model lifestyle.)

I guess some people will do anything to be on TV.

I totally agree with the pp who said the show is kind of exactly the opposite of what he says he wants.

I was really sad he sent home that brunette last night. I forget her name but she was really smiley and nice and she rode next to him on one of the rides.

i thought the photo shoot thing was really weird for a date. i felt so badly for the one girl who had never modeled, i would have felt the exact same way and i can't honestly imagine what you would learn about someone on a meaningful level at a photo shoot.

If your only goal is to have "arm candy" it is a great way to find out. All of the other pilots will be jealous! But the woman's goal is hollywood, how will she be happy in Texas?

Both women and man have been made into sexual objects here. In episode 1, the "friends" interviewing each girl were filmed asking one girl "what do you think about premarital sex."... combined with his "family values statement, this suggests a bizarre public display of the virgin/whore dichotomy (on wiki here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misogyny). He says he "wants" a family values kind of wife, but is selecting based on outward appearance and overt display of sexuality.
