I had high hopes as this season as the good boy wholesome bachelor, but I am totally disappointed. So true of this being all about bodies, money, etc...

I really think that Jake is not as shallow, mindless muscle guy as they are portraying. The girls on the other hand, not so sure.

I love this show --- I knew they would pick Jake because he's an "All American" guy. The girls don't seem that interested in HIM, but mainly being on the show I think. I read this spoiler at realitysteve.com (warning ---- it's a really good spoiler site). So far I really like Ali. Can't wait to hear what yall think about the next episodes.

There is a huge contradiction between what he says he is looking for (family values, marriage and children) and how he is going about getting it (tv show noted for many bikini shots, a beauty/personality contest to get his attention.) Do you really think that? I would think that he WOULD have a chance with those types of girls--because he SAYS that he's a family value kind of guy, but if that's really true, why on earth hasn't he settled down with a home town girl--I think he's extremely good looking, and obviously comes from money (having the money to take flying lessons costs a bundle and I don't see that many poor people flying planes, not to mention coming from a family of doctors--i.e., money, brains, and talent)==so what gives?
So I would think that would be exactly the kind of girl he COULD catch--arm candy. But my thought is also that because he probably IS shallow in real life (I am just not buying the whole family values thing) which is why the last girl didn't pick him (I can't remember her name) and why he is picking the big busted blondes on the show now instead of the ones that seem a little more "real"--of course, I could be reading a lot into this considering that there have been only two episodes. My pick is for the blonde who flew with him--she seems like a neat down-to-earth girl and she seems to radiate a lot of personality. She did get a rose from him--so that's good.

just spent a rare break with the kids out of the house catching up on this show so I could join in! Very intelligent use of my time! I don't want to be totally spoiled as far as the outcome of the show- will Reality Steve do that, or is it just about the current week's episode?

ITA about the excessive boob shots! And the photo shoot being a weird and not-meaningful first date! Funny how at least 2 of the girls on the date were models!

Not surprised by Rozlyn, she did not seem sincere. Although I don't know whether that was because she was a plant by the producers to create drama, or b/c she really was there "for the wrong reasons"!

Michelle is scary!!! Like Shannon last season! I guess there has to be one each time!

And Elizabeth LOOKS just like Shannon on last season! (the one with Jason). Why is she making the big deal about no kissing? Because of her morals or to play hard to get and set herself apart?

I like Ali, Tenley, and Ella is ok. They all seem more mature, and down to earth.

I thought the editing was pretty choppy surrounding Michelle's departure! One minute she is saying she is desperate for a husband and trying to kiss him, then he says "why don't you pack your bags" and she seems ok with it, like it was inevitable. It seems like a lot of the conversation was cut out!

It's always weird how there are a couple bachelorettes/bachelors who they don't even show! Like Valishia (?) I didn't even see her on the show until she was eliminated! And Jessie they don't show with him, either. And barely Corrie. I wonder if they do spend time with Jake but it just wasn't exciting enough to make the show.

Elizabeth was creepy, and I am glad she's gone!

I don't understand why all the girls are SO mean to Vienna! So what if she is a little immature and a blabber mouth.

I think all those girls being so mean to you would make you act weird! They act like she is HORRIBLE, but they haven't shown her actually doing anything horrible. Just mildly annoying!

And I loved Ali at first, but now she is solely focused on getting everyone to hate Ali. That is not a good personality trait!

I always wonder on this show why they get so jealous and focus on the other girls. They know going in what it is all about. Jake doesn't want to hear about cat fights. He wants to pretend each date is a normal one-on-one situation.

Me, too ... I like Gia, too, better than Vienna. Vienna seems very immature to me. However, I don't like Ali going on and on about Vienna, either.

Yeah, I agree about Ali. I think if she continues this obsession with hating Vienna then she won't last. He'll see that bad side of her. I still like her, for now. She needs to lay off the cheek bronzer, though!

I was shocked that he eliminated both girls on the date and then two at the end! Wouldn't it make the season much shorter than the producers would want? I thought for sure that Vienna was going home. I know this is mean, but her face drives me crazy. It's hard for me to look at when she's talking.

I was surprised at how much I liked Gia after seeing their date. She was really cute and sweet.

I don't know when this was filmed but I remember talk about the Bachelor RV's being here in San Francisco a little while back. And now I'll get to see it on air. Kinda cool!

I think he's keeping Vienna around to see how the other girls react to her. He doesn't want to marry her! I like Ali, but think she will be gone if she keeps up her obsession w/Vienna. JMO!

And why doesn't anyone ever talk about what it would be like to actually be married to (or even in a serious relationship with) an airline pilot? Seriously, this is huge. It is not a normal life/lifestyle, especially after children come along. (Ask me how I know )

I also wonder why they let him let 4 girls go- it seems like the show will end a lot sooner if he gets rid of them this quickly! I really wonder how much control he really has over who goes home, how many per rose ceremony. And a big question I have is, is it Jake who is determining who goes on the different dates, or the producers? It's hard to know if it's really him wanting more 1:1 time with a particular girl, or if it's more scripted to show him with the different ones. Like Ali just "happened" to get the flying date when she's scared of flying.

Ditto to all of this! They haven't really shown WHY they all hate Vienna- I can see she is immature and maybe spoiled. But the other girls are acting pretty immature with focusing so much on hating her! I did like Ali but her being so angry about V makes her very unattractive!

Yes! Great point! Hopefully they will get into that as they get more serious!

I could tell too. Did you notice how Jake took each girl aside, and the one he sent home gave the nastiest kiss, like kissing his mother.

I sure hope Reality Steve is wrong, since I am rooting for a different girl. Oh why did I read his site.

well i think there is a ton of editing going on where they aren't showing why the girls dislike vienna so much ... or they are editing and focusing on the girls hating vienna to make it seem more than it really is.

i'm surprised about the final girl, it's so hard to picture them together. i didn't watch last nite. it seemed boring.
