First off... DOULA all the way. Im not just saying that because i am one 
With my first I had not heard of doulas. I took the class and thought it would be very helpful. When labor was here it all went out the window and it was a waste of money and time. i will never do another class again. It wasnt that the class or teacher wasnt good.... it was that it wasnt what I needed at labor and had no way of knowing ahead of time. With my second I had my doula and I have to say that it was a pretty darn near perfect birth for me. I have hired the same doula this time around and am hoping for just a great as birth.
