I'm 37+1 today and I had my midwife at home appointment and the doula is all set in place and everything's a go. Now the baby just needs to come. He's firmly in my pelvis and I am uncomfortable and unable to sleep. He needs to be born. ahhhh!
My midwife assures me that he will be born.
ahhhh... soon I hope!

My daughter was born at 37w1d, so ever since then I've really not known what to do with myself. I am 37w5d now with no signs of anything going on. Everyday seems so long waiting!

i SO hear ya! It is true, though, that they can't stay in there forever!

I also assure you, he WILL be born!

Everyone's babies will be born. Except for mine. My baby wants to stay IN MAH BELLEH! Until early teens.

I'm right there with ya but at 38 weeks... every little possible sign gets my hopes up, which is silly!!

Here's my encouragement. DS1 was 6 days "late." DS2 was 11...

Late babies are great nursers!!

Don't hold your breath. I'm 41 weeks 3 days today, and thought I'd be done by now since the last one came at 38 weeks. We need distractions!

I'm going crazy here too. I'm 37 + 5 days and I'm am sooo antsy. My son was 37 weeks and a bit of a surprise, so now I'm pretty ready, but apparently baby isn't. I think I've lost my mucous plug and I think I'm having BH and dilating...a lot of twinges going on down there, but still no baby. I know my body and baby will do there job when the time is right, but I'd just like to do it now! The waiting is driving me crazy. I alternate between getting lots done and playing solitaire on the computer for hours. And I'm sleeping like crap! Come on little girly!

I know I know I know.
But when you're hurting this much, all of the reassurances in the world won't help. Sigh.
I won't do anything to induce him though. I'll be patient, well for a little while more anyhow.
Trixie was 41 weeks, but this pregnancy has been nothing like hers, it's really shocking how different they were, and are. I wonder how their personalities will be different. She was the happiest most mellow baby, the kind everyone was envious of, and even as a toddler, she's really busy, really really really, but she just rolls with the punches, is obediant and is so happy.
(oh yeah, boys scare me a little!)
Trixie was also a great nurser when she was born, even after her crappy birth she was able to latch right away, so I know the longer he's in the better the latch.
But still, he needs to be born, everything is indicating that he's cooked! COOKED!

I know what you mean! I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow, yet it feels like I could birth at any second, like when I stand up the baby is just going to fall out!
My son was born right on time, I am expecting another 3 weeks or so of no sleep, being uncomfortable, etc

I'm ready too. Still getting sick - which doesn't help. I've had acupuncture 3 days in a row - 4 tomorrow. I'm listening to 'Baby, Come Out' track from hypnobabies. EPO started a couple of weeks ago.

Everyone thinks he dropped today - so I'm hoping some progress is coming today or at least by the end of the week!
