September DDC Roster ♥ Due Dates & Introductions - Page 9

post #161 of 255
Name: Just1More
EDD: 9/9/10
Age: 28
Location: North Carolina
How long it took to you to get your BFP: Well...I was nursing, and took a test "jic"...it was postive!
What number child is this for you: Fourth
Family: Dh, Dd(4), Ds(2), Dd (10 mo), and two dogs.
Baby's Gender : Boy. I have this odd ability to guess right. I'm 3 for 3. And I've pegged the due dates with the first two, and the conception dates with the last two. Weird, I know. I can't wait to see if I'm right again.
Names you like: We don't tell, but we realized we're going to have to think up a new girl name. The one we liked is WAY too popular now. Too bad, too, because we've liked it since before we were even married.
Birth Plans/Preferences: Homebirth!

Uhoh, baby dd is up. I think she's teething. Sigh. She still doesn't have ANY.

The real reason I finally de-lurked

My first Due Date Club! How exciting.

Name: luckysgirl
EDD: Sometime in the beginning of September, we think.
Age: 22
Location: New York
How long it took to you to get your BFP: Umm . . . let's just say knowing you shouldn't rely on breastfeeding and knowing you shouldn't rely on breastfeeding are two completely different things.
What number child is this for you: 3
Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, DS (3 years), DD (9 months), 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 goldfish, 1 beta fish
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): Doesn't really matter, since no matter what we're going to be outnumbered forever now.
Birth Plans/Preferences: Homebirth again, hopefully. My health near the end of the pregnancy will determine what is safest. I've been very lucky so far.

EDD: 9/27 (confirmed by ultrasound!!!!!!!!)
Name: Melissa
Age: I'll be 31 next month
Location: Long Beach, CA
How long it took to you to get your BFP: We weren't going to try until January, but...oops. : )
What number child is this for you: 1st, (2nd pg)

Names you like (& are willing to share): haven't gotten there yet. Taking things as they come.

Blog, website or the like:
Anything else you'd like to share: I had a miscarriage last July that really hit me hard. I'm hoping this one sticks and I want to enjoy every minute of this pregnancy, even the yucky heartburn that's been hurting me for the past couple days. : )

True, but my first two were born exactly on their due dates. My third was a week late.

*New to the 9/10 DDC!*

My name is Jessa, and I'm due at the end of September! (Those online calculators estimate Sept. 24.)
Age: 27
How long it took to you to get your BFP: I got pregnant the first time we were "not careful" with NFP method. We were open to getting pregnant, but not exactly trying... does that make sense?
What number child is this for you: #2
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): My husband's family is all boys except one girl, and she's adopted.... So... probably a boy!
Names you like (& are willing to share): I haven't begun to think about this yet!
Birth Plans/Preferences: I'd like to homebirth again, but we have moved since our first child's birth, and we are now in a rural area (45 min. from a hospital). I'm hoping that I like the hospital, which has a reputation for being "natural birth - friendly."
Anything else: I'm glad to be here and hope we'll find support from each other along our journeys!

So happy to be here with you!

* EDD: Sept. 26
* Name: Christy
* Age:38
* Location: Reisterstown, MD
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: We were trying for three months and the third time took! So happy. I wasn't sure it would be this easy at my age. We had to sneak in conception times between family dinners because we spent my entire fertile time visiting family here and in Minnesota.
* What number child is this for you: This is our first baby.
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): I have a wonderful husband who is an herbalist. This is good but he's all over me about my diet and about how everything has to be organic. He even got me organic eyeshadow yesterday! It's beautiful.
* Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): We tend to have lots of girls in our family but for some reason, I feel like this baby is a boy.
* Names you like (& are willing to share): My husband doesn't want to choose a name until he meets the baby and I tend to agree with him. Still, I like to think about names! We will see.
* Birth Plans/Preferences: We'd like a home birth but we'll have to see where we're living. We're planning a move to England in June but at a certain point, I won't be able to fly, so we may end up staying here. We have an appointment with the midwife for February 8th and we'll see what she has to say about it. Apparently, most of the births in England are home births, so that's good!
* Blog, website or the like: none yet!

* EDD: 10/4/10 (but October isn't open yet, and besides, it's SO early October that I may as well learn from you sage ladies going through it a couple weeks ahead... lol!)

* Name: Lindsay

* Age:28

* Location: South Jersey

* How long it took to you to get your BFP: We started in May, but that was such piss-poor timing there was no chance. Got pg the first "real" try in June, but that was a very early m/c (chemical). Had to take a couple cycles off, but in all this was lucky cycle #7 (if you don't count the first).

* What number child is this for you: This will be our first!!!

* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): Amazing partner, Kate (we're.... civil unionized. How romantic). Two cats: Ra and Keary.

* Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I have strong girl feelings, but I don't care, as long as it sticks around and is healthy!

* Names you like (& are willing to share): Sophie Ellen and James Joseph. Girl after both our grandmothers, boy after DP's dad and my stepdad.

* Birth Plans/Preferences: Shooting for a hospital midwife-delivered waterbirth, and have the opportunity to do so at Elmer hospital in NJ. Hoping hard!!

* Blog, website or the like: http://carbonateyourday.blogspot.com. this blog is NOT TTC-related, so please don't talk about TTC or this pregnancy there if you chose to visit and comment. THANKS!!! Hopefully it'll turn into a pregnancy blog soon, but not quite yet.... lol.

Please Add Me!!

Hello ladies!

My name is Lindsey and I am expecting our 2nd little one on September 4th! We ttc for 4 cycles after an IUD and were thrilled to get a BFP on Christmas Eve.

I'm an avid fan of homebirth, but my son was born via c/s after my CNM botched a complication. I have a new CPM, whom I love dearly, and full confidence that I will have the HBAC I want this time around.

My husband and I live in the DC area with our 3yro son, a dog and three cats.

I look forward to being part of this group and sharing this journey with you all!

Best,
Lindsey

EDD: 9/23/10
Name: Kelly
Age: 36
Location: CA
How long it took to you to get your BFP: A year of trying off and on
What number child is this for you: This is a surrogate pregnancy. It is my 8th pregnancy. I have 4 kids of my own, and I carried a set of surrogate twins that are 7 years old. I was pregnant for the same family last year, but we found out at 13 weeks that the baby had died. This was our very last try, and we are praying so hard that this one makes it.
Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, DD(15), DS(13), DD(5) and DS(3).
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I really feel like it's a girl, and we're hoping it's more than 1. This is a clomid pregnancy.
Names you like (& are willing to share): I won't be picking the names.
Birth Plans/Preferences: I'm a labor and delivery nurse and lactation consultant. We'll be having a natural hospital birth with wonderful support from my DH, the intended mother, and probably a couple of fellow nurse friends, and my favorite midwife. I hope that the intended mother can catch her baby. She is planning to induce lactation and I'll be pumping to make sure the baby only gets breastmilk.

Update

Update

Based on my ultrasound today my EDD has been moved from 9/1 to 8/30. Hoping to still stay here will you guys, though!
post #179 of 255
I don't know exactly when I am due as I just got a positive urine test today and I didn't know when my last period was , just around mid December. So I think I am due around mid to late Sept.
My name is Kimberly. Kim is what I go by.
This pregnancy took me 3 years as my daughter was born 3.5 years ago and we have been trying since I got my cycle back when she was 6 mths old. But it was only through IVF that I got pregnant with her so quite honestly 3 years is still less time than I would have thought!
I really don't care if it is a boy or a girl, although my dh and my daughter Aria both want a girl. Of course. I am just happy with a baby!
Happy to be here and meet all of you!
I live in Central MA and will be planning my second homebirth.

Hi folks,

Joining late, but have been lurking since my BFP on Dec. 30th. I'm Kristen, 35, pregnant for the first time after 20 or so months of trying (and basically figuring it was never going to happen). Due September 4th, no gender preference or guesses. Happily married to DP for 6 years with two old cats and six happy hens. Really excited at the prospect adding another human to our family, though still worried at this point, naturally I guess.
Anyway, fingers crossed and happy to join you.
