New Here, need help with Beco...is this right?

Hi! I am new here and in need of some help! It is much appreciated

I am very new to babywearing and I don't think I am putting on my Beco right. It is cutting under my arms, hurting my shoulders and also hurting my lower back. I have watched the video numerous times, tightened and loosened the straps numerous times, checked in the mirror and it still isn't right. Also, is it normal for the straps on the carrier to be extrememly hard to adjust? In the video it shows the model just pulling the straps with ease to the correct length. I am having a heck of a hard time getting the strap adjusted at all. They dont' want to move. I am bummed because I spent a lot of money on this carrier and I really want it to work. Here are some pictures of me wearing my toddler. TIA

Welcome!
I have a beco as well & we seem to have a similar body type so here are my experiences:
It is much easier to adjust the straps if you take the weight off of them for example: the waist strap - while it is buckled, pull it together - then adjust the strap. or for the shoulder straps lift your LO's bum up a bit with one arm so there is very little weight on the one side then try to adjust.
I have found that the straps do dig no matter what under my arms & I think it has to do with the way the beco fits my body type.
For the lower back with my LO (preschooler now! who stills likes to be carried) it is best if I have the waist strap around my natural waist versus on my hips. For some reason that feels better for me & her (her legs were hurting her)
These are just my observations & probably not "correct"!
Have fun I love wearing my dd even now that she is 3!
Hope that helps & you can pm me if you want to or have more questions

I have the same problem with the beco cutting into my underarms. It is almost as if the padded shoulder straps are too short. I'm curious to hear if others are experiencing the same.
