I plan for quinoa to be dd's first grain when she turns 9 months. However I am curious as to the best way to offer it. I use both regular quinoa and quinoa flakes here at home. The quinoa flakes form a thick gruel, and the regular quinoa is, well, you probably know what quinoa looks like when cooked. Should I use the flakes to make a thick cereal? Or the whole quinoa and then puree it, or blend the dry quinoa first and then cook it? Or just offer it as is?
Mainly I'm interested in what would be easiest for DD to digest in terms of getting nutrients (I want her to get lots of iron and protein out of it!) as well as being easy on her gut, since it will be the first grain.
