My Son has really round feet, like sausages. He is currently wearing 18-24 months (or 2T) sized socks, not for length but for width. He is not walking yet, but will be soon-ish. I have tried robees and they don't go on him, the elastic won't open enough to get on him. I do have one pair of leather shoes that actually open up then velcro closed, but again, they won't really velcro closed and then they are really long on him and look like flippers. Anyone have ideas?

Padraig Cottage has some great slipper-type shoes. My nieces have them and basically live in them. They wash easy so they are good for wearing outside or inside usually. They are a little pricey, but are made with high quality materials and last forever. I have had the same pair for going on 5 years now and I wear them 5 or 6 hours a day. The wool shapes to individual shapes of feet and they are drawstring so I think they would be perfect for your little man!

I could have written this post! My little guy (8 mo) has such chubby feet that NOTHING I've tried will go on - even if the shoes are two inches too long. I told my husband that I was going to go into business, making shoes for fat footed babies! I gave up and bought socks (large of course!) with those little plastic grippy pads on the bottom. Sometimes I layer them over his regular socks to give him a bit of extra warmth/padding. He's not walking yet, but it helps him get traction on our slippery floors. Hope that helps, I'll be watching this thread.

I'm watching this post too. My 7 month old grandson has those little sausage feet too. I could squeeze one pair of robeez on him with about 15 minutes worth of effort, but I couldn't fit socks under them, and the reason I want shoes on him is to help keep his little feet warm! I keep trying to make him shoes, and failing

My dd had the same issue, and my 10 mo old ds does too (serious Cankles!
)
I tried so many shoes, what had worked for us before were Moss Feet shoes, unfortunately they are not made anymore but I was smart and saved a few pairs....other than that we are really liking Nowali Swedish Moccasins. The plain pairs up to 18 mo have an elastic band that helps to hold them on.

The slippers mentioned in the above post look awfully darn cute and comfy, might have to try those! Thanks!

Have you tried PediPed and or PediPed Flex? They have insoles that can be removed for extra room. They are a little pricey, but my DD has a few pairs and they fall off of her feet constantly (she has tiny feet, 4.5 months and still wearing NB size!) Good luck and your son does have the cutest little baby feet ever!
