Daycare thinks DD has impetigo. I was thinking the same thing last night after looking at pics and info on the Web. Called her Dr and he stated to use Dial soap and Neosporin 3 x a day? Has anyone tried this? She has an appointment with her dermatologist tomorrow. She's 4 years old. Thanks!

DD has never had impetigo but that sounds like pretty standard protocol. I think Dr. Sears recommends something similar, except he suggests a wash of diluted hydrogen peroxide along with the antibiotic cream and doesn't mention Dial soap. But either way, sounds like it will be effective.

As an adult I have had impetigo several times. I always put a warm, wet washcloth on it for a minute or two and then gently wipe off the scabs. Then apply neosporin. I never washed it with soap. I feel like that might burn...
If you do this several times a day, it should start improving pretty quickly. I wouldn't pay a dermatologist to look at it. If it is crusty and weepy, it's probably impetigo.
Ooops--looks like you already went to the derm! So he probably gave you good advice for it.
