Re-posting... Low heart rate?

Sorry to post twice- should have put this underpregnancy rather than the DDC in the first place. If it's an issue, I can delete either.

Anyway, hate to c&p, but...

Had an appointment today and they did a transvaginal u/s... By the books, I'm 7w1d. We got to see the little peanut, which measured 6w4d- apparently anything within 5 days either way is normal?

Heard the heartbeat, but the doctor was concerned that it was slow... only 98bpm. He wants me back in next week to see if it goes up any.

Any experience with this? In googling (so dangerous!), it looks like some sources say anywhere from 90-110 is normal, where others say the 98 is too low.

Ohh the whole worrywart first-time mom thing... thought I'd have a little more time before it kicked in.

With my daughter we had a slow heart rate issue (it was a bit further along than you but still...)

the next day I went back and it was just fine... the same for you!

I've heard that if you're earlier than you think you are at this stage, it's normal for the heartrate to be a bit slow. The heart doesn't start beating until- what, like 5 weeks? And it can take a little while for it to get into the "correct" rhythm.

Chances are with another few days to grow, baby's heart rate will be just fine.
