Washing CDs to eliminate rash?

DD is 19 months and wears Fuzzi Buns at home (disposables at daycare and for travel). She had a rash right before Christmas, then we went out of state for a week and used disposables; the rash went away. We came back home and put her back in CDs, and not long after she developed the rash again. It doesn't seem to be a yeast rash...she's had those and this one doesn't look like it.

Are we doing something wrong with the wash routine? We put them through the washer twice: once with hot water, detergent and oxyclean, the second time just a rinse with hot water. Is there something else we can use to kill off anything that might be growing in her diapers? (Yuck!)

I'm also wondering if because we turned down the water heater to protect DD from accidental scalding, we need to turn it up again just during the diaper wash.

TIA

I would try stripping the dipes in case of buildup. You can do it by hand with dawn and toothbrush or a squirt of dawn in the washer on HOT and rinse rinse rinse til there are no suds. There is also an oxy-vin soak that works well here is the link: oxyvin soak Good luck mama!
