Cloth nursing pad recs please!

I am expecting #2 soon and want to have some reusable nursing pads on hand. With my first I used Lansinoh disposables. They worked great, but I'd really like to use cloth. Anyone have any good recomendations? It gets pretty hot in the summer where I live so I need something that isn't going to be terribly obvious under nursing tanks. Thanks!

For home use, I use cotton flannel ones (BULKY but soft, absorbant, and easy to wash) http://www.little-lions.com/page40a.html

For going out, I use a pair of Imse Vimse wool/silk (thin and luxurious ) http://www.globalenfant.com/imse-vim...by_products_ge

What will work depends a lot on how much you leak -- and that might be totally different with #2 than it was with #1. It was for me!

The best compromise between effectiveness and discretion for me were the Mother of Eden nursing pads:

I was unable to find any breast pads without a waterproof layer that actually worked for me with baby #2.

The most effective nursing pads I had were Milk Diapers:

But I didn't find them to be all that discreet.

I use wool nursing pads and LOVE them! I don't know what brand, I think they were locally made, picked them up at a boutique. They're a very soft wool and they easdily form to your shape, I can't even tell they're there with just my nursing bra. Not cheap, but with the benefits of wool (more absorbant, antibacterial, don't feel wet and clammy) you probablly only need two pair. I have one pair, and wear my old cotton flannels at wash time.

Not sure if you are considering making your own or not... but I just cut a bunch of 4 inch circles out of some old flannel receiving blankets and did a zigzag stitch around the edge of a stack of 4 layers. I made a ton so I wouldn't have to wash so often. I also made some with a microfiber (I used auto towels) layer for nighttime because I leak like crazy at night and needed something more absorbent. Worked beautifully for me!

I love, love, love my wool pads from sewfussy (the Fussy Butt diaper making mama) on Etsy. Did I mention that I love them?

Well I don't use cloth, I use reusable lilypadz, and LOVE them! They are silicone, adhere to the breast, and last about 2 months of continuous use. I could wear them under a swimsuit and they wouldn't show, and I've only had 1 leak ever (even with a ridiculously strong letdown), and that was when I didn't re-adhere it properly.

Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm really interested in wool or bamboo. I use cloth diapers and wool covers so I'm really comfortable with caring for them. Any brand recs for wool or bamboo? Are the contoured ones better than those that aren't?
