Made the decision

I made the biggest decision in my life and it is next week on Tuesday.I am going to have my ovaries and falopian tubes removed,found out last month I do have the gene for ovarian cancer which I was tested.Luckily I do have my husband Davey for support,I talked to him about it last week and he plans on being there on my surgery day.My mom had ovarian cancer and survived it,she is glad I am doing this.I told my gynecologist I am doing this yesterday since I had an appointment for a check and pap test which was due.I was told this was the best option too and I will never regret doing this.

Plus I did get advice from a couple of my friends Monica and Ellen,they had it done last year which they never regreted to do this.My friends Monica and Ellen lost their moms to ovarian cancer and it was hard.I seen what my mom went through and I do not want to through that.Recovery is 3 days and I have to take it easy.Luckily my bosses Ron and Julia are giving me the days off for the recovery stage.

Here is the update.It was yesterday and went very well.I was a little tearful,before the operation and luckily my husband was there telling it was going to be alright.He gave me a kiss on the cheek before I was rolled in the operating room.My mom was there too and we hugged.I have recieved lots of get well cards even from my step children Justin and Jenny.I did recieve a visit too,from my bosses Ron and Julia was given a get well card also signed by my co workers including my bosses whom are husband and wife.I can go back to work on Monday and I am going to make a full recovery.I now have a sister,Beth whom is thinking of having it done and she has talked me about it yesterday.I told her to do the research first,even to talk to her husband about it and also talk to my friends Monica and Ellen.
