Made My First Toy!

I have never sewn before, but I found this forum and got inspired! I went to Goodwill and bought some wool sweater and corduroy pants. Then I felted the sweaters. I decided to start with a cube, which might have been a bit ambitious. I even added a few bells to the middle that I found on clearance at the craft store. I cannot wait to make another; I have big plans for lots of felt and needle felted toys.

Thank you so much for the inspiration!

Awesome! Blocks can be tricky to sew, but they feel so neat when they're done!

that's really pretty. i love your colors. we call these the "throwing things." When my older ds was a toddler, and started hurling toys, we would give him one of these. The rule was no throwing toys, except for the throwing thing.
I have fun with appliques for these, btw. Making toys is lots of fun!

Love your fabric choices also. My little her squares more than other toys she has!
