Bad cravings normal?

DH and I recently spent more than usual on groceries in an effort to eat better. Roughly half of the food we purchased was TF. (Raw milk and products, grass fed meat, etc...) We've been eating like this for several days. I was asking about dinner last night (we meal plan but it's flexible) and he laughed and said, "Actually, I don't know. I've been craving my processed crap lately." I realized that I too had been craving processed whatever. I also noticed the first time we went out and had a full day of eating TF I was CRAVING fries and a soda on the way home. I wasn't hungry. I just wanted fast food.

Normal?

Totally normal. I think it's ultimately your body craving the fast carb hit that comes with junk food. It will get better!

There are a lot of people who see refined carbs and sugars as one of the major addictions in our society. When you eat them, you are not full after (maybe for a short while) and your body then needs more. You get a quick sugar high like feeling from your body, and it wants it again.

Also, when you are preg or pmsing, your body needs more calories, and it craves things high in calories so you stomach can hold them, but still get a lot of calories in one meal. It's your choice to put in a little of the bad, or snack all day on the lower calorie, less crap like food.

Completely normal. If you're going through a detox period, then you have to deal with the cravings that come with it. I've found that it usually takes 10-14 days, and then the cravings just disappear. But it's tough to deal with when you're in the moment.

Yup, 'tis normal. Give yourself a couple of weeks of solid, nourishing food and the cravings will drop drastically or go away completely.
